Hillswick is a small village on the Northmavine peninsula in the far north-west of Mainland Shetland, set on a sheltered bay with views across St Magnus Bay.

The village is one of the oldest fishing stations in Shetland and the St Magnus Bay Hotel is a notable local landmark that has served visitors and locals since the 19th century.

Northmavine is one of the wildest and most dramatic parts of Shetland - the cliffs at Eshaness, the volcanic rock formations of the Drongs and the headland of Fethaland are all within reach of Hillswick.

About Shetland

Shetland is an archipelago of around 100 islands - 16 of them inhabited - lying roughly 110 miles north of the Scottish mainland and 210 miles west of Norway, making it the most northerly part of the United Kingdom.
