About Heat Pump Installers

A heat pump installer fits air source and ground source heat pumps - replacing traditional gas or oil boilers with a system that draws renewable heat from the air or ground to warm your home.

With Scotland pushing hard towards net zero heating, demand for qualified heat pump installers is growing fast - and grants through the Home Energy Scotland scheme can cover a significant part of the cost.

Make sure your installer is MCS certified (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) - this is required to access government grants and ensures the work meets industry standards.

Also covers:
  • air source heat pump
  • ground source heat pump
  • heat pump installation
  • ASHP installer

About Gallowhill

Gallowhill is a residential neighbourhood in the north-east of Paisley, sitting on a rise between Paisley town centre and the Renfrew boundary, with Glasgow Airport lying a short distance to the north.

The area takes its name from the historic execution site that once stood on the high ground - a reminder that Paisley's judicial history runs deep - though the neighbourhood today is a settled, largely 20th-century residential community.

Gallowhill has a mix of housing types, a primary school and local amenities and benefits from its position close to both Paisley town centre and the retail and commercial facilities along the Renfrew Road corridor.

Transport links are strong - the M8 motorway, Glasgow Airport and Paisley Gilmour Street station are all within a short distance, making Gallowhill a well-connected residential area within the wider Paisley conurbation.

About Renfrewshire

Renfrewshire coat of arms(opens in new tab)

Renfrewshire is a council area in west-central Scotland, lying immediately to the west and south-west of Glasgow on the southern bank of the River Clyde. It covers around 270 square kilometres and has a population of roughly 180,000, making it one of the more densely populated council areas outside the four main cities.

Paisley is the largest town and administrative centre - the fifth-largest settlement in Scotland - with a rich industrial heritage built on thread-making, weaving and the iconic Paisley pattern that took the town's name around the world. The medieval Paisley Abbey, founded in 1163, remains one of the finest monastic churches in Scotland and is believed to be the birthplace of the Stewart royal dynasty.

Beyond Paisley, the landscape varies considerably. The northern strip along the Clyde is low-lying and industrialised, taking in Renfrew, Inchinnan and Erskine. The centre and south-west rise into the Renfrewshire Heights, a belt of rolling farmland and moorland dotted with attractive villages like Lochwinnoch, Kilbarchan, Houston and Bridge of Weir that have a distinctly rural character despite being within easy reach of Glasgow.

Transport links are excellent. Glasgow Airport sits within the council boundary at Abbotsinch, the M8 motorway crosses the area east to west and railway lines connect Paisley, Johnstone and the surrounding towns to Glasgow Central in as little as ten minutes - making Renfrewshire one of the most accessible parts of the Glasgow city region.
