About Crosslee
Crosslee is a small village sitting between Houston and Bridge of Weir in the rural heart of Renfrewshire, on the road that runs westward from Johnstone through the Gryfe valley.
The village is primarily residential, with a cluster of houses, a village hall, and a quiet character that reflects its position in the attractive farmland between the larger settlements of Houston and Bridge of Weir.
Crosslee benefits from the amenities of its larger neighbours โ Houston's primary school and local shops are close to hand, while Bridge of Weir offers additional services and a golf course.
The village is well placed for access to the wider Renfrewshire countryside and the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park, while Johnstone railway station and the road network provide practical connections to Paisley and Glasgow.

Renfrewshire is a council area in west-central Scotland, lying immediately to the west and south-west of Glasgow on the southern bank of the River Clyde. It covers around 270 square kilometres and has a population of roughly 180,000, making it one of the more densely populated council areas outside the four main cities.
Paisley is the largest town and administrative centre โ the fifth-largest settlement in Scotland โ with a rich industrial heritage built on thread-making, weaving, and the iconic Paisley pattern that took the town's name around the world. The medieval Paisley Abbey, founded in 1163, remains one of the finest monastic churches in Scotland and is believed to be the birthplace of the Stewart royal dynasty.
Beyond Paisley, the landscape varies considerably. The northern strip along the Clyde is low-lying and industrialised, taking in Renfrew, Inchinnan, and Erskine. The centre and south-west rise into the Renfrewshire Heights, a belt of rolling farmland and moorland dotted with attractive villages like Lochwinnoch, Kilbarchan, Houston, and Bridge of Weir that have a distinctly rural character despite being within easy reach of Glasgow.
Transport links are excellent. Glasgow Airport sits within the council boundary at Abbotsinch, the M8 motorway crosses the area east to west, and railway lines connect Paisley, Johnstone, and the surrounding towns to Glasgow Central in as little as ten minutes โ making Renfrewshire one of the most accessible parts of the Glasgow city region.
