About Plean

Plean is a village three miles south of Stirling, set in rolling farmland between Bannockburn and the Forth carseland.

It was historically a mining village, and while the pits are long closed, the community retains a strong local identity.

Plean Country Park, on the site of the former Plean House estate, offers woodland walks, open grassland, and a good network of paths.
