Balgay is a residential area in the west of Dundee, centred on the ridge and parkland of Balgay Hill, which separates it from Lochee to the north.

Balgay Park is a Victorian cemetery and woodland park that runs along the hilltop and provides one of the city's quieter green spaces, along with the Mills Observatory — Britain's first purpose-built public observatory.

The surrounding streets are a mix of tenements and terraced housing, with good bus connections to both Lochee and the city centre, and easy walking distance of the West End's amenities.
